Amelia is an absolute chocoholic and the capital of Belgium was not picked by chance, when I decided we should go on a holiday. You can always go there by car or bus or stay in a hotels in Ansalonga Shops for desserts of different size were existing on every avenue in the downtown zone and very near to our Brussels accommodation, therefore if she required some sweets, the only thing I ought to do is to go down and purchase some. Amelia’s favorite chocolate stores were Leonidas which are very popular with the local people, Marcolini which is regarded as the greatest shop for highest quality Belgian chocolates. After that we learned that more affordable are the candy in Chocopolis and Maison Renardy stores.
Our evenings in Brussels were spend in some great eating places and good pubs, where we experimented with the local draught beer that we found out might be bitter or sugary – based on cherries. Another drink that the local people adore is a specific blend of sparkling wine and white wine. Amelia loved most the Brasserie De l’Union bar with its wooden bar, but I liked most the Bier Circus due to the vast selection of beers. The pub closest to our own holiday apartment in Brussels was Delirium Café which was also very close to the Grand Place too.
On one of the nights we went for some dancing and we first visited the Dirty Dancing night clubs where they played house music, after which we went to Recyclart club for some drum and bass. On the next night after we’d a great meal, we visited a jazz club that was recommended, named Sounds Jazz Club where we stayed till the early morning.
Amelia was happy that we got so much fun outside at the pubs and clubs, to go visiting sites and to be able to rest a lot in our holiday Brussels suite. We genuinely enjoyed our stay, got engaged and decided to come back.
